Petition for DE Coursework Equivalency

This petition is to be completed by the person seeking to forgo the currently required coursework described in the DE Development Process. Please complete all fields giving as much description as possible. After the form is submitted, the DE Committee will review the petition during their next monthly meeting and vote to approve or deny the petition.
Please note, the minimum criteria that must be met is at least 20 hours of coursework in the following areas:
• Canvas Introductory course
• Development of objectives and outcomes
• Accessibility course
• Design formative and summative assessments
• Communication in an online course using Canvas tools
Note: This petition is only for coursework equivalency. If the DE Committee deems the completed coursework equivalent to current requirements, the faculty member will still need to complete the DE Course Review process to meet DE Approval requirements.
