Below are some sample questions to get you thinking about your IVC Story. Our goal in the IVC Foundation is to have a file full of good stories that tell the story of IVC through our students and alumni. If you’d rather be anonymous, that’s fine, but we’d like to highlight these IVC Stories in quarterly newsletters and when we’re making appeals for support to IVC. (FYI: Emotion is a good thing when sharing your story, so don’t be afraid to be passionate and use more pages).

(for example: “I’ve come to IVC right out of high school…”; “I’m the first person in my family to go to/complete college…”; “I have a family and a job and I’m attending IVC to get [certificate, degree, etc..] that will help me provide for my family…”) What we’re looking for is a brief idea of who you are and what your motivations are for attending IVC.
(for example: “Professor Smith pulled me aside and helped me understand the course work by offering extra tutoring… or …. Ms. Garcia sat me down and really helped me plan out my career path and then helped me get into the right classes to graduate…”)
